The Magus is Robin Stone (Norse, The Amenta) and Harvey O'Sullivan. Formed in 2003 throwing down ideas on 4track cassette. In 2005 their demo CD was Demo CD of the Week on FBi Radio and Demo Of The Month at Half A Cow Records, whose founder Nic Dalton described the song The City as "easily one of the best songs I've heard in a long time". Their second demo CD "Silver Lines" was also demo of the month at Half A Cow in 2009. Their sound is everything from glitch/IDM/dubstep to pop/shoegaze/indie rock, and more experimental wanderings. In 2010 their track electronic pop song "Drifted" was on rotation at FBi Radio and the New Weird Australia radio program on FBi were playing some of their abstract tracks.
